      From what I understand, it's entirely possible that while Joseph Smith was familiar with Swedenborg's writings, he more than likely didn't actually read Swedenborg's book, "Heaven and its Wonders and Hell" but had access to pamphlets that were circulating in New England in the years preceding the founding of the [LDS] Church.
